Statement of Faith
About the Bible: We believe the old and new testaments are the inherent, infallible Word of God from which comes our authority for faith and conduct. (2 Tim. 3:16-17)(Heb. 4:12)(Psalms 119:89)
About God: He is the self-existent, eternal, creator of all things. He is one God in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Colossians 1:16-17)
About Jesus: He is the only begotten Son of God conceived by the Holy Spirit, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross to pay for our sins, rose from the dead in bodily form, ascended in to heaven, now making intercession for His own and will return to the earth. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)(Isaiah 7:14)(Mark 16:19)(Revelation 22:20)
About the Holy Spirit: He came from the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgement and to regenerate, sanctify and empower believers for Gods purposes in the church. (John 16:8-11)(John 3:5-8)(Romans 8:11)(Ephesians 5:2)(Galatians 5:22-25)
About Humanity: That all have rejected or rebelled against Gods authority in one way or another and being separated from God are lost, doomed to eternal judgement, and without ability to help ourselves. Also that humanity is the object of God’s love and therefore, by the person and work of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection, He has made salvation from sin and death available to any and all who come to Him by faith and repentance. Trusting in His sacrifice we have forgiveness of our sin and thereby being enabled to submit to Him as Lord and Savior. (Romans 3:10-11, 3:23, 3:20)(John 3:16)(Romans 5:8-9, 10:9-10, 12:1)
About Leadership: We follow the pattern and principle of male leadership and responsibility in the home and church. This limits the roles of pastoral leadership and doctrinal authority to qualified men. Christ is the Head of the church to which all are submitted to. (1 Timothy 5:1-15)(Ephesians 4:4-7)(1 Corinthians 11 1-12)
About Institutions:
Baptism: Full immersion water baptism for the believer.
Lord’s Supper as a part of regular fellowship.
About Eternity: We believe in a literal heaven and a literal hell. Those who receive Jesus will spend eternity with Him in heaven. Those who reject Jesus will spend eternity separated from Him in a place reserved for the fallen angels (hell). (Mark 9:42-49)(Revelation 14: 10-11, 21:1-5)(2 Peter 2:4-10)(Jude 1:13)
Second Coming: We believe the second coming is in two stages, Jesus will come first for His bride, the church, meeting her in the air. Then He will come at the end of the Great Tribulation with His church to judge those left on earth and to rule and reign. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)(Luke 21:27-28)(29-36)
Marriage: We believe God established marriage between one man and one woman. (Genesis 2:24)
